Music Together® teachers must participate in a three day intensive training process and be determined to be adequately skilled in order to teach in a licensed Music Together program. Once a teacher has passed training and is employed as a Music Together teacher, there are frequent opportunities for continued training and education around music and young children included a certification process to established advance competency. We are pleased that the high standard which Music Together holds for teachers is met throughout CT and here with Grow With Me Music!

Rebecca Chaimovitch
Director/Teacher Certification Level I, Certification Level II Rebecca Chaimovitch received her Bachelor of Arts degree in applied music/voice from SUNY Geneseo, New York in 1994 and her Master of Music degree in Voice from the University of Connecticut in 1996. She holds a certificate of music education from the State of Connecticut and completed the course work for a Doctorate of Musical Arts in applied music/voice with a minor in music theory. Rebecca completed her Music Together training in the spring of 2006 and received her Certification Level I for teaching mastery in the following year. She then continued with her Music Together training in the summer of 2018 and received her Certification Level II in the summer of 2019. Rebecca has been teaching private piano and voice lessons for over 25 years. Soon after teaching private lessons she started teaching preschool music and loved it! In 2006, she found her way to Music Together and has discovered teaching classes to be the best part of her day and a passion in her life. As the mother of two sons, who participated in classes when they were preschoolers, she has seen the benefits of early musical exposure first hand and loves bringing this experience to others. She brings a great deal of silliness and warmth to her classes and thoroughly enjoys every moment of music making fun with young children and their grown-ups. Rebecca is proud to bring music into the lives of young children and their grown-ups. Every moment in class is a joy and a challenge that she welcomes readily. She believes firmly that engaging in music early in a child's life is an important aspect in their growth and development. In addition, she knows that music brings us together as a family, community and world. Contact Rebecca |
